Ariana Grande’s ‘Sweetener’ Wins Best Pop Vocal Album in 2019 GRAMMYs

Tough Grande’s first ever Grammy nomination went ineffective, happened in 2014 for ‘Best Pop Duo/Group.’ Upto now, she was nominated for five time, but without any victory.

This year she was nominated under two category, Best Pop Vocal Performance – God Is a Woman and Best Pop Vocal Album – Sweetener (2018). But a disagreement bet Ariana Grande and GRAMMY produces Ken Ehrlich, forced her to stay away from the gala ceremony.

But everybody’s surprise, Grande awarded for Best Pop Vocal Album in GRAMMY award function held on 10th February at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. This is first ever GRAMMY award in her career.

Due to Ariana Grande’s earlier decision of not to attend the gala event, she happen to be at her home. After hearing the award result, she expressed her happiness in her instagram,  “i know i’m not there tonight (trust, i tried and still truly wished it had worked out tbh) and i know i said i try not to put too much weight into these things …. but f#@$.” Further she registered her felicity after her first in the career winning of GRAMMY by Recording Academy, “this is wild and beautiful. thank you so much.”

The war of words started by Grammy producer Kenneth Ehrlich in a interview with THE ASSOCIATED PRESS, “As it turned out when we finally got the point where we thought maybe it would work, she felt it was too late for her to pull something together for sure,” he said. “And it’s too bad. She’s a great artist. And I’d love to get her in the show this year.”

Ms Grande replied rightly on Tweeter., “i’ve kept my mouth shut but now you’re lying about me. i can pull together a performance over night and you know that, Ken. it was when my creativity & self expression was stifled by you, that i decided not to attend. i hope the show is exactly what you want it to be and more.”

Further Grande says about the tussle in Grammy awards 2019 gala event in another tweet, “i offered 3 different songs. it’s about collaboration. it’s about feeling supported. it’s about art and honesty. not politics. not doing favors or playing games. it’s just a game y’all.. and i’m sorry but that’s not what music is to me.”
